Raising Together Counseling LLC provides a supportive and respectful space where adults can feel heard, better understand what they are experiencing, and develop practical tools for moving forward. Counseling is available in English and Spanish and is shaped around each person’s needs, culture, experiences, and strengths.

My Approach
My approach is bilingual, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive.
I believe counseling should recognize the whole person—not only a diagnosis or a difficult experience. Your culture, language, family, relationships, values, and life experiences are important parts of your story.
Counseling is a collaborative process. Together, we can explore what is affecting you, recognize the strengths you already have, and identify practical tools that support your goals. We will move at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and manageable for you.
About the Counselor
Margarita Garza, M.S., LPCA, CPSRP, RCP
Margarita is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who provides counseling in English and Spanish. She has experience supporting adults experiencing mental health and substance-use concerns and understands the importance of considering culture, language, family, and life experiences as part of the counseling process.
Before becoming a counselor, Margarita worked for many years as an educator, mentor, and family engagement specialist. These experiences strengthened her ability to build trusting relationships, recognize each person’s strengths, and support people through challenges and important life transitions.
Margarita uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach. She is currently completing EMDR basic training to continue developing her skills in trauma-focused counseling.
In addition to her counseling work, Margarita is the founder and owner of Raising Together LLC and Raising Together Counseling LLC. She also co-chairs the Connecticut Counseling Association’s Fall 2026 Conference.
